چکیده

We present a simplified version of an average-atom collisional-radiative model employing both local-thermodynamic-equilibrium and isolated-ion atomic data. The simplifications introduced do not lead to any substantial errors, they significantly speed up calculations compared with the basic involving direct solution self-consistent-field equations. Average ion charges, charge state distributions, emission spectra non-local-thermodynamic-equilibrium (NLTE) gold plasmas calculated using various modifications are those obtained THERMOS detailed configuration accounting approach. also propose efficient method calculate thermodynamic functions NLTE in context model.

Optical Properties of Plasmas Based on an Average-Atom Model

Optical properties of plasmas, including dielectric constants, indices of refraction, and absorption coefficients, are determined from an average-atom point of view. Linear response of an average atom to an harmonic electric field leads to an averageatom version of the Kubo-Greenwood formula, which is used to calculate the frequencydependent electric conductivity of the plasma. The frequency-de...

Partial ionization in dense plasmas: comparisons among average-atom density functional models.

Nuclei interacting with electrons in dense plasmas acquire electronic bound states, modify continuum states, generate resonances and hopping electron states, and generate short-range ionic order. The mean ionization state (MIS), i.e, the mean charge Z of an average ion in such plasmas, is a valuable concept: Pseudopotentials, pair-distribution functions, equations of state, transport properties...

Collisional transport in non-neutral plasmas*

Several recent experiments have measured collisional transport in non-neutral plasmas ~heat conduction, test particle diffusion, and viscosity! that is from 10 to 10 times larger than predicted by classical theory. New guiding center theories of collisional transport have been developed that agree with the measurements. The experiments operate in the guiding center regime rc!lD , where rc is th...

Plasma ionization and resistivity models in application to radiative properties of z-pinches

The LTE Saha–Boltzman plasma ionization balance model and the Braginskii plasma electric resistance model are compared with the results by the suit of codes based on the average atom model, which is a quantum-mechanical version of the Temperature Dependent Thomas–Fermi Theory. The analysis is focused on low-Z Al, mid-Z Cu and higher-Z Mo plasmas in a broad ranges of electron temperature Te and ...

A collisional-radiative model for simulation of Ne-like and F-like resonance lines emitted from laser produced plasmas

We describe a collisional radiative code to simulate the Ne-like and F-like resonance lines emitted from laser produced plasmas. Ions and excited levels densities are calculated by solving rate equations using an implicit-finite difference method for steady state, quasi steady state and time-dependent conditions. The code calculates intensities of Ne-like 1s22s22p6 → 1s22s22p5nl and F-like 1s22...
